New Wireless Sensor Gateway

The new Accsense B1-06 Direct Access Gateway from Grant Instruments, allows data from multiple wireless sensor pods to be collected and uploaded to a central server or local PC for storage and analysis.

The Accsense System relies on standard 802.15.4 (Zigbee) networking to relay data from multiple sensor pods to the B1-06 gateway. The gateway buffers this data and then uploads it via Ethernet to a managed server where it is stored. The data can then be viewed via a standard web browser in several different formats. The B1-06 also allows data to be streamed to a local PC. The Accsense System provides powerful alarm capabilities including email, text message and voice mail notification, multiple alarm recipients and sequential alarm escalation. Other features of the Accsense B1-06 Gateway include:

  • Support for DHCP or static IP addresses
  • 10BaseT/100BaseTx RJ45 Ethernet port
  • Local buffer for data
  • Support for up to 16 wireless pods
  • SSL Encryption
  • Up to 250' range using 802.15.4

Accsense Systems are used in medical facilities to monitor refrigerators, freezers and cryostats where medicine, blood or other samples are stored. They are also used in manufacturing and warehousing applications where it is costly or inconvenient to run wiring for sensors but where secure record keeping and/or alarming are required.
